Kaneohe culture
Kaneohe, a small town in the state of Hawaii has a very diverse culture with its population where there is no real majority and mostly every one is a minority. In the census conducted in the year 2000 more then twenty percent of the people in Kaneohe claimed to have come from multi ethnic backgrounds which is by far more then in any USA state. Kaneohe was basically an agricultural land which has now evolved into a thriving residential and commercial community.
 
 

The town has vast lengths of beaches along its coast which poses an attraction for the tourists. The presence of tourists further diversifies it's already multi ethnic population. Kaneohe botanical garden is an important landmark that provides the locals with beautiful greens for relaxation. Kaneohe bay is a marine recreational spot where locals and tourists can reach from a pier and a boat ramp located nearby. Kaneohe has various educational centers which promise a better future for the younger generation. Culture of Kaneohe has its origins in the traditional native Hawaiian culture but because it has become diversified with so many different ethnic groups the original culture has somewhat changes. These days the culture in Kaneohe is a mixture of various cultures and ethnic groups that make a very unique population. The interstate leads to a museum just outside Kaneohe where relics from Kamehameha can be witnessed; it's operated by the East Hawaiian Cultural Council who represents the traditional art in Kaneohe. The culture of Kaneohe is one of the strongest cultures remaining in the world today. Although remnants of new English culture remain thought it's not as much as the Asian immigrant that came in the early twentieth century. The arts are in the form of music and photography and galleries are prominent throughout the area. At one time Holua was also played and was quite popular among the ancients and was quite dangerous. Surfing is also a favorite amongst the locals and the beaches provided the locals with venue for the same.
