Another importance of the geographical location of the community is that it attracts a lot of tourists, and as a result the tourist industry is very strong as well. The coasts are lined with a number of business establishments, and these display the best greens and the best water spots of the community of Kaneohe. Nowadays the fertile land is being used to grow natural produce and crops for the people as compared to growing sugar cane. The main produce is now rice instead of sugar. There are only a few sugar plantations and sugar refineries left. Some of the land is also used too grow pineapples as well as other tasteful crops.
