Geographical importance of Kaneohe
The community of Kaneohe is located on the island of Oahu in the state of Hawaii, which is one of the states of the United States of America. It is situated at a distance of fifteen miles due north of Honolulu, and because of its geographical location, it is a very important place of Hawaii. The community of Kaneohe was a prime location for the Japanese in the Second World War to capture. They tried to get spoils of war by landing on the shores of the island with their carriers and ships.
 
 

. But this failed to happen because the United States of America had dispatched the atomic bombs to Nagasaki and Hiroshima and the war ended for Japan. The Second World War caused a upheaval in the economy of the community of Kaneohe.

Because of the location it is in, the soil of the lands of Kaneohe is rich and fertile. Because of this the sugar industry has been very strong since sugar is able to be grown in abundance. Another importance of the geographical location of the community is that it attracts a lot of tourists, and as a result the tourist industry is very strong as well. The coasts are lined with a number of business establishments, and these display the best greens and the best water spots of the community of Kaneohe. Nowadays the fertile land is being used to grow natural produce and crops for the people as compared to growing sugar cane. The main produce is now rice instead of sugar. There are only a few sugar plantations and sugar refineries left. Some of the land is also used too grow pineapples as well as other tasteful crops. Another geographical importance of Kaneohe is fishing it provides the people. There are a lot of local residents who earn their income through fishing. There used to be a lot of fishing pens in the past, but now there are only a few left.
