Facts about Kaneohe
Kaneohe is situated in the Honolulu County and is a community which is locted on the south eastern part of the island of Oahu, which is one of the islands of the states of Hawaii, one of the states of the United States of America. The area of the community starts from the bottom of the Koolau Range and goes up to the Kaneohe Bay. Most of the portion of the community of Kaneohe is a residential area. In the year 1963 the Hawaii Loa College as well as the community college was built here.
 
 

The base of the United States Marin Corps is also located near to the community of Kaneohe. It is on the windward part of the island of Oahu that the beautiful community of Kaneohe is situated. This place is nothing short of a slice pf paradise. There is a spectacular view of the blue waters of the Pacific Ocean which can be seen from Kaneohe, and it is located at a distance of fifteen miles due north of the brilliant and busy coasts of Honolulu. The waters in the area of Kaneohe are magnificent, and the Koolau Mountains form a backdrop to the picturesque community of Hawaii. The name of the community, Kaneohe, comes from the name Bamboo man, who was a legendary figure of the area. The community of Kaneohe has been through a lot throughout the years, but even then it is still strong and on its feet, and attracts tourists like it always did.

The area covered by Kaneohe is around seven square miles. The lush land of Kaneohe is covered with fertile vegetation and soils. Because of this the taste of the products which are grown here naturally is very good. And just as good is the cultural heritage of the people of this prime holiday destination.
