It is open every day and people can go in without paying anything. The only days when the garden is closed is on New Year's Day and on Christmas Day. It was in the year 1982 when the garden was established. The Army Corps of Engineers of the United States of America built the garden in order to protect the area from floods.

Another beautiful place in Kaneohe is the Sea Life Park. This park is also located on the island of Oahu, which is ranked among the most famous islands of the state of Hawaii. The beauty of Kaneohe is increased by the Sea Life Park. This provides people a chance to have interactions with animals and exotic sea life. Visitors who come to the Sea Life Park can swim with sea lions and dolphins, feed sea turtles, watch a penguin show, or dive with rays. There is no other park anywhere which gives you the opportunity to be so close to animals and sea life. Sea Life Park is located near the Waikiki Beach, and it consists of theatres, lagoons, reeds, and pools. There are a number of facilities provided as well, which include dressing rooms, snacks, a spacious parking lot, restaurants, and lockers.
